Sachiya Mata is our family deity. The temple at Osian in Rajasthan is one of the oldest in western India, and the name is carried through our family and our work — it is also the name of my business.
The other inheritance is Jain. Ahimsa, non-violence, is its first principle, and it reaches further than most systems take it: to what we eat, how we speak, and what we allow ourselves to want. My vegetarianism comes from there rather than from any argument about health, and so does the sixth element of this site.
