This notice explains how personal data is handled on www.munot.in. It is written to meet the requirements of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Data Fiduciary: Sunil Munot, publisher of www.munot.in, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. You can reach the publisher at any time through the contact form, which is the designated channel for all data protection requests and grievances.
No account is created, nothing is sold, and there is no advertising, tracking or analytics profiling on this site.
Solely to read and reply to your message, and to keep the site running and secure. The legal basis is your consent, given when you choose to send the form. You do not have to use it — you can write to me directly or telephone instead.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes form submissions and server logs on my behalf, on servers that may be outside India. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Your message is then delivered to a private mailbox. Nobody else receives it, and it is not shared with anyone.
Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with it, and deleted when it is no longer required. Server logs are retained by the host for a limited period under their own policy.
Under the Act you may ask me to:
Send the request through the contact form, saying clearly what you want done, and I will act on it. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Sunil Munot acts as grievance officer. Requests submitted through the contact form reach them directly and are answered within the period required by law.
This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen. Please do not use the contact form if you are under eighteen without a parent or guardian.
Please do not send me detailed medical information, test results or records. I am not a doctor, I cannot advise on your illness, and such information is better kept between you and your physician.
If this notice changes, the revised version will appear on this page.
