Urine therapy has had its own international conferences since the mid-1990s, drawing practitioners and the curious from many countries.

The first conference

The first World Conference on Urine Therapy was held in 1996 in Gersfeld, Germany, and drew around 400 attendees — a majority of them from India, where the practice has the deepest roots. Speakers included naturopaths and a small number of physicians who had adopted the practice after personal experience with it, alongside long-standing practitioners from India's own tradition.

Later conferences

A Second World Conference followed, with its proceedings later published as a book. Regional and national gatherings have continued since, including meetings organised in India by groups such as the Urine Therapy Federation of India (see the separate page on that organisation).

What these conferences are, and are not

These gatherings function as community and practitioner meetings, not as scientific conferences in the peer-reviewed sense. Talks are generally based on personal and clinical experience rather than controlled trials. That distinction matters, and I want to be upfront about it here rather than let the word "conference" imply a level of scientific vetting the events don't have.

Everything on this site is a personal account and a record of traditional practice. It is shared for information and reflection. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment for any disease.

If you are unwell — and particularly if you have a serious illness such as cancer, diabetes or heart disease — please stay under the care of a qualified doctor. Nothing here should replace that care or delay it. Talk to your physician before changing anything about how you eat, fast or treat yourself.
